2021 Geoff Griffiths Award - Jason Gillow

Jason Gillow is an instrumental figure to the running and full functionality of the EFLUA. Whether it was on-field, off-field, or his specific roles within the association, Jason was always at the forefront of the action.

In 2021, Jason took on the role of managing sponsorships with the EFLUA, which entailed many a duties, albeit some of the more mundane tasks, however Jason happily took this on board and delivered to the best of his ability. We had 11 organisations partner with the EFLUA this season, and Jason is very much to thank for the mountain of work he put in behind the scenes to manage both the acquisition and the deliverables of these sponsorships. He is a powerhouse and has great experience in building relationships with our partners, with which we are really lucky to have someone of his skillset on offer within a community club.

Further to his off-field tasks, he was always one of the first people to put his hand up to help out with whatever the task may be that was required. Jason is an ideas man and brought fantastic suggestions to discussions that are aimed at benefiting the association.

Dedicated to his goal umpiring duties, he is very diligent in his role and never skips a beat on Game Day.

Jason is an approachable person on game day, just as he is on training nights and always does his best to build positive relationships with his appointed panels on game day.He also loves to have a laugh and keep things light-hearted; you can almost always catch him with a grin on his face.

Jason, you have made a commendable effort in all your endeavors with the EFLUA this year, and we are incredibly grateful for all you do in and around the club. You are an extremely valuable asset to us and your works never go unnoticed.
