2021 Noel Maxwell Award - Brad Pulley

A truly deserving recipient of this years Noel Maxwell Award. While 2021 was again filled with adversity because of the COVID-19 pandemic, Brad continued to be a solid member of our club with providing consistency to our members.

Brad is a very consistent member who was committed to his on and off field duties. On field, including at training sessions, he is always seen as a very positive member within the group, and a great contributor to all training sessions. It is not uncommon to see Brad cheering people on through the hard yards and slogs of some training sessions, and he is always there with a high five for all at the end of each session.

Furthermore, he is regularly seen as the leader for warm up drills and shows initiative to take charge of co-leading warmups, and has dedicated himself to knowing the warm up drills inside out to lead the group through it. On Wednesdays, he can be seen leading 60-100 people at once, an incredible effort!

When it comes to game day, the rooms are never a bore when you are scheduled to run with Brad. He is a team player no matter who he is partnered with and is a fantastic role model to all. He makes an effort to include all on game day. You could ask Brad who any person is throughout the club and guaranteed he’ll give you their name and a little bit of their backstory – he is good at connecting with people.

Off the field, Brad is incredibly humble about what he does and willingly gives up his time to make our club a better place. He is regularly seen to be helping the coaches with all IT/technical needs and is usually the port of call in such situations.

For our social functions, he is always the first to offer assistance with all AV/microphone and speaker equipment and can always be seen helping to set up other areas of a function. He has done a mountain of work in relation to our website and especially over the last 2 years as the club secretary where he keeps on top of all the minuscule tasks that assists the association.

We are so incredibly grateful for the person that you are Brad and so lucky to have you a part of our community. You are highly deserving as the recipient of the Noel Maxwell Award and the EFL Umpires Association congratulates on receiving this award.
